UChicago Summer Research Residency
The College’s Summer Research Residency program is a new opportunity designed for undergraduate students conducting research on campus or in Chicago over the summer months. This program will foster a vibrant, engaged on-campus community for student researchers by providing resources, support, and connections to faculty and staff.
UChicago undergraduates selected to participate in the Summer Research Residency program are awarded grants to offset the cost of living on-campus while conducting research with a faculty member or within a specific program.
All students accepted to the program will pay $350 per week, billed to their student accounts. That fee includes housing, dining and optional events.
This community will connect students from across disciplines, giving them the chance to collaborate through events with faculty and peers designed to network and bounce ideas around, as well as cultural and social activities over the weekend.
Applications will remain open for a limited time. They will be reviewed on an individual basis.
