Summer Session also hires UChicago students to support pre-college and undergraduate students in the residential halls.

STAT 27815 covers virtually all of R for Data Science (2e); course assistant should have taken a course that covers this or be exceptionally familiar with the entire textbook. Additionally, CA is knowledgeable in or willing to learn about metaprogramming (Advanced R, Ch 17-20) and unit testing in R ({testthat}, {waldo}, {gradeR}, and {autogradeR}). ·
The course assistant will:
Write unit tests for new questions and/or make unit tests for existing questions more granular, provide more tailored feedback, and/or improve restrictions on student solutions.
Where autograding is not possible, use Gradescope for manual grading.
Hold office hours and answer Ed questions (Ed is a discussion board where students can ask questions; R, Markdown, and LaTeX-enabled)
Complete other related duties as assigned
