The University of Chicago Summer

September Term

A three-week intensive course option, September Term provides opportunities for undergraduate students to fulfill major and general education course requirements between the end of summer activities and the start of the Fall Quarter. Each September Term course is equal to 100-units of credit. Students should only enroll in one course. Courses are either in-person or via remote instruction.

September Term courses will take place from August 25- September 12, 2025. There will be no class on Monday, September 1 due to the Labor Day holiday.

September Term courses cannot be used toward degree requirements for Summer 2025 graduates.
