Summer at UChicago: Course Offerings

Get ahead or catch up. Challenge yourself or get a taste of UChicago.

• Summer courses are on an intensive schedule: two courses are the equivalent of a full-time course load. Courses are offered June through September.

• Students can take up to five courses in the summer, as long as they are not enrolled in more than two courses during the same dates.

• Search classes by topic, dates, modality, and Core.

• New offerings are added throughout the Winter into the Summer.

• Course is full: UChicago students can request to be waitlisted. Visiting students should email summersession@uchicago.edu. Graduate students should contact their academic division.

• Visiting Students: Application closes on May 31st, 2026. We will only review applications received by that deadline and release decisions the first week of June.
