3 Week Immersion
Immerse yourself in your passions and take advantage of the rich educational resources through our summer Immersion programs for high school students. These undergraduate-level courses offer personalized attention from faculty, researchers, and other professionals through workshop discussions, research projects, and other hands-on activities.
Whether you're looking for creative writing workshops, preview courses in STEM fields, or to explore theories of economic policy, philosophy, and free expression, the University of Chicago's summer 3 Week Immersion courses offer you the opportunity to explore a topic of interest in-depth.
Details
Current high school students in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade are eligible. Students must be at least 14 years old.
Summer Immersion courses take place on the UChicago campus. All participants are required to live in residence, in campus housing. Students must attend class in-person (there is no hybrid or remote option).
Students will be in class Monday through Friday, from 9am – 3pm CST (with a lunch break).
Immersion courses are three weeks in length; they are graded courses which carry 100 units of credit (equivalent to one full, quarter-long undergraduate course). See individual course descriptions for prerequisites, if any.
