Caterina Fugazzola

PhD student in Sociology

Caterina Fugazzola is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Chicago, where her dissertation research focuses on the LGBT movement in China. While at the University of Chicago, she has served as a writing intern in the Readings in World Literature and Reading Cultures sequences in the College’s Humanities Core curriculum, and as a course assistant in the Beijing East Asian Civilization study abroad program. She has also served as a private ESL teacher and a high school lecturer of English Language and Literature in Italy. She holds MAs from the University of Chicago and the University of San Francisco and a BA (Cum Laude) from Ca’Foscari University in Venice, Italy.
