Aaron Tugendhaft is Assistant Collegiate Professor in the Humanities and Harper Fellow in the Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts at the University of Chicago, where he teaches such introductory humanities sequences as "Human Being and Citizen" and "Greek Thought and Literature." In 2016, he co-organized the international conference "Does Liberal Education Need Saving?" His scholarship focuses on the interplay of religion, politics, and the arts, with a particular emphasis on the ancient Near East.
