Description: 

This course examines in plants and animals the chemical nature of cellular components, enzyme kinetics, and mechanism of enzyme activity, energy interconversions, and biosynthetic reactions, including template-dependent processes and some aspects of metabolic control mechanisms. This course fulfills the biochemistry requirement for the biological sciences concentration.

PQ: Cell Biology and 2 quarters of Organic Chemistry. Fulfills Biochemistry requirement for Biological Sciences major.  Attend one lab day. This course is not open to High School Students
