Description: 

This course consists of an introduction to the principles of ecology and environmental biology. Focusing on both studies of wild populations of plants and animals as well as human ecology, we will discuss population growth, the distribution and abundance of species, conservation biology, as well as current environmental issues such as climate change, invasive species, and resource use. This course is suitable for non-biology majors or anyone seeking an introductory understanding of ecology and environmental biology.

PQ: 10130. This course qualifies as a topics course for the BIOS general education reqm't for non-majors.
